NASA delays Atlantis launch for 24 hours
The space shuttle Atlantis sits on the launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center of Cape Canaveral in Florida, the United States, on Sept. 8, 2006. A new fuel sensor glitch forced NASA to postpone Friday's launch of sapce shuttle Atlantis for another 24 hours, according to NASA's official website.

Partial lunar eclipse over HK
A shadow falls on the moon during a partial lunar eclipse over Hong Kong, south China Sept. 8, 2006. The eclipse occurred from 2:05 a.m. to 3:38 a.m. Firday. The partial eclipse had an umbral magnitude of 0.189, meaning that 18.9 percent of the moon's diameter will enter the Earth's umbra, or total shadow.
