Benchmark bond yields on the Greek electronic secondary securities market declined in August, especially in long-term maturities in line with other eurozone markets, Bank of Greece, Greece's central bank, has said in its monthly report.

Yield on the 10- and 30-year bonds fell respectively by 14 and 17 basic points to 4.11 percent and 4.49 percent at the end of August from 4.25 percent and 4.66 percent a month earlier, said the report available on Friday.

Yield on three-year paper dropped by eight basic points to 3.65 percent from 3.73 percent, it said.

The average monthly spread between yields on the Greek and German 10-year benchmark bonds was flat at 31 basic points from the previous month, the report noted.

Benchmark bond prices rose between 22 and 275 basic points. The strongest gains were recorded by the 30-year bond price, which closed at 100.18 on Aug. 31 from 97.43 on July 31, while the 3- year bond price rose to 99.30 from 99.08, and the 10-year bond to 95.89 from 94.75.
