Vietnam's stock market finishes higher

Vietnam's stock market index, VN- Index, rose 1.83 points, or 0.36 percent, to 513.04 on Friday with 162.124 billion Vietnamese dong (VND) (nearly 10.2 million U.S. dollars) worth of shares, bonds and investment certificates being traded.

A total of 2,610,280 shares worth 133.838 billion VND (roughly 8.42 million dollars), 143,220 bonds totaling 14.615 billion VND ( 919,200 dollars) changed hands at the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center on Friday. Meanwhile, 507,520 investment fund certificated valued at 13.670 billion VND (859,700 dollars) were traded.

Vietnam currently has 49 kinds of listed shares, 371 kinds of listed bonds, mostly government bonds, and 1 listed investment fund totaling over 65,367 billion VND (more than 4.111 billion dollars).
