Stocks close lower in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil

atin America's three major stock markets closed lower on Friday.

Mexico City's stock market IPC index dropped by 0.18 percent to close at 20,795.82 points. A total of 80 million shares were traded at 186 million U.S. dollars.

The Buenos Aires stock market closed with the Merval index down 1.05 percent to end at 1,632.68 points. The trade volume was 10.67 million dollars.

In Sao Paulo, Latin America's biggest bourse, the leading Bovespa index closed at 36,558 points, down 0.41 percent. The trade volume was 632.8 million dollars.
