The gold price in Hong Kong plunged 147 HK dollars to 5,513 HK dollars per tael on Monday, according to Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 595.47 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, down 16.5 U.S. dollars at Monday's exchange rate of 1 U.S. dollar against 7.7715 HK dollars.
