The first meeting for the China-Russia cooperation work group in special economic zones was held in Xiamen on September 8th.

Both countries agree that there should be cooperation, an exchange of experience on the building and management of special economic zones, consultation and personnel training.

Russia has expressed its intention of welcoming China to invest in Russian special economic zones for processing, science and technology development and infrastructural establishment.

Chen Jian, assistant of the minister of the Ministry of Commerce said that China has paid close attention to the establishment of Russian special economic zones. And preferential policies will go to those mature areas to facilitate cooperation between China and Russia.

The meeting summary and constitution on China-Russia cooperation work groups of special economic zones were signed after the end of the meeting.
