China advocates that that the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula be solved through dialogue and negotiations, a Chinese envoy said on Wednesday in Vienna.

Chinese Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Vienna, Ambassador Tang Guoqiang, made clear China's position in a statement at a meeting of the board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Tang explained that China has consistently advocated for the resolution of the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula through dialogue and negotiations.
