First locally designed, locally produced automobiles exported to EU in batches

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce for the Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products announced that 500 city utility vehicles - the Hover CUV, made by Great Wall Motor Company Limited -- have been exported to Italy for the first time. This is also the first time that locally designed and locally produced automobiles have been exported from China to the European Union in batches.

The Hover CUV is equipped with an engine that meets European emission standards. Italian safety standards have all been met and the function-price ratio of the Hover CUV is especially favorable to Italian customers.

Great Wall Motor exported 18,526 automobiles last year, which makes it the largest local export company in the industry.

Great Wall Motors has received 24,300 overseas orders for automobiles this year, including their CKD and SKD models, and so far has exported 22,600 automobiles (80 percent, 128 percent more than last year) and automobile parts (20 percent).
