Henry Tang, financial secretary of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, will attend annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group scheduled in Singapore on Sept. 19, a government spokesperson said in Hong Kong Friday.

Tang will attend the opening plenary session and discuss global and regional economic development with finance ministers and central bankers of other economies, the spokesperson said.

He will update the international financial community, credit rating agencies and the media of Hong Kong's latest economic developments.
