PD to publish unified edition at standardized price from 2007
font size

People's Daily has decided to publish a unified edition nationwide at a standardized price from next year.

The two local editions, Huadong Xinwen (East China News) and Huanan Xinwen (South China News), will cease publication and People's Daily prices in these areas will be cut accordingly.

People's Daily is working on an improved network of printing and circulation, with the focus on western and rural areas. It aims to have a nationwide color edition in print by next autumn.

This is another effort by People's Daily to serve readers better with reports of more authority and influence, better information and an optimized layout.
