Hong Kong Chief Executive to visit Hunan

Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang will lead a delegation of government officials and local business leaders on a three-day study tour to Hunan from September 24 to promote economic and trade co-operation between Hong Kong and the Pan-Pearl River Delta region, a government press release said Monday.

In the coming months, Tsang will also lead several business delegations to Guizhou and Jiangxi.

During the Hunan visit, the delegation will attend the Hong Kong-Hunan Business Co-operation Symposium and the Expo Central China 2006. Tsang will visit enterprises and infrastructural facilities.

Officials accompanying Tsang include Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology Joseph Wong, Director of the Chief Executive's Office John Tsang, Permanent Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology Yvonne Choi and Permanent Secretary for Constitutional Affairs Cherry Tse.

During Tsang's absence, Chief Secretary for Administration Rafael Hui will be Acting Chief Executive, the press release said.
