Tunisian Foreign Minister Abdelwaheb Abdallah on Tuesday spoke highly of the great achievements China has made and praised friendly and cooperative ties between the two countries.

Abdallah made the statement at the reception held by Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia Liu Yuhe on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China.

Abdallah recalled his visit to China in May this year, saying he had been to many places in China and deeply impressed by China's rapid progress.

Abdallah said developing bilateral relations is the common wish of the leaders and the people of the two countries.

In recent years, Tunisia and China have increased high-level official exchanges, he said, adding that the friendly and cooperative ties between the two countries have been marked with constant progress, especially in the areas of politics, economy, trade and culture.

Abdallah expressed the hope that Tunisia and China would further enhance cooperation and exchanges in all fields.
