China's Xinhua News Agency and the Slovenian Press Agency (STA) pledged on Wednesday to boost exchange and cooperation between the two national news agencies.

Meeting with a delegation headed by Xinhua vice-president Ma Shengrong, STA director Lidija Pavlovcic said that her agency would have a more comprehensive cover of news about China with its cooperation with Xinhua as the Slovenian people want to know more information about a fast-developing China.

The two agreed to strengthen cooperation between the two news agencies, which have cooperated since 1994. They also discussed the possibility of cooperation on photos.

The Xinhua delegation's visit in Ljubljana is one of a series of visits to various news agencies in Central and Southeastern Europe.
