U.S. Treasury secretary concludes China visit

U.S. Secretary of Treasury Henry M. Paulson left here Friday at the end of his four-day visit to China.

During his visit, which featured meetings and talks with China's top leaders Hu Jintao, Wen Jiabao, Wu Yi and officials from the State Development and Reform Commission and the Ministries of Finance, Commerce, Health.

Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi and Paulson announced the establishment of a China-U.S. economic strategic dialogue.

It was Paulson's first visit to China since he took office as secretary of treasury in July.

Paulson arrived in Hangzhou, capital city of east China's Zhejiang Province, on Tuesday, and later held talks with Xi Jinping, party chief of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.
