font size

China's top trade union leader Wang Zhaoguo on Friday pledged to step up cooperation between Chinese and Vietnamese trade unions.

Wang, president of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, said this in his meeting with visiting Vietnamese trade union leader Dang Ngoc Tung.

Noting China and Vietnam are close neighbors, Wang said the advancement of China-Vietnam ties serves the common aspiration and fundamental interests of the two peoples.

He said the Chinese trade unions highly value their relationship with the Vietnamese trade unions, hoping the two sides enhance exchanges and further the harmonious development of the Asian-Pacific and international trade union movement.

Dang Ngoc Tung, vice president of the Vietnamese General Confederation of Labor, said his China tour aims to learn more from the experiences of the Chinese trade unions.

He hopes the friendship and cooperation between the two countries' trade unions be furthered.
