font size

The Zimbabwe amateur wrestling team have failed to participate in international tournaments this year due to difficulties in securing foreign currency.

This could be the third time in as many months that a Zimbabwean team has failed to take part in international competitions. Volleyball and judo are the other disciplines.

The six member Zimbabwe wrestling team which is set to leave for the senior world wrestling championships beginning this weekend in China needs more than US$ 5,000 for their travel and accommodation requirements.

The team is currently in camp in the country's capital city of Harare.
