Supreme courts of China, Russia sign cooperation agreement

The Supreme People's Court of China and Russia's supreme court have signed a cooperation agreement.

The agreement provides for regularl exchanges on issues such as how to improve the judicial system, how to strengthen the role and authority of judicial departments, how to guarantee independent adjudication, and training for judges.

The two sides will send delegations to discuss the most urgent and important issues and exchange documents on judicial procedure and the reform of legal processes.

They will also brief the other side about activities of mutual interest and benefit.
