The Agro Enterprise Center of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries is organizing a grand agro expo 2006 on October 12-16 in Kathmandu with the theme "Competitive Agriculture for Economic Prosperity".
"The objectives of the expo are to showcase agro products having commercial value and competitiveness, promote Nepali agro products in domestic market to make the consumers aware of the products and bring together Nepali agro products and to interact amongst the producers, suppliers, processors, cooperatives, exporters and other stakeholders," convener of the expo Krishna Prasad Tamrakar told reporters here on Monday.
The organizers have intended to provide information on recent development of Nepalese agro business to the policy makers, researchers, potential investors, media and other stakeholders.
The expo is being organized in collaboration with three ministries - Agriculture and Cooperatives, Industry, Commerce and Supplies, and Forest and Soil Conservation, according to Tamrakar.
He said Nepal Herbs and Herbal Products Association is preparing for special exhibition halls and seminar.
