China, Portuguese-speaking countries forum meeting ends

The two-day 2nd Ministerial Conference of the Forum on Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries closed in Macao Monday morning.

The conference was crowned with the adoption on Sunday of a new cooperation Action Plan for the next three years.

Chinese Commerce Minister Bo Xilai said with the Action Plan, the cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries has entered a new stage.

Under the theme of "strengthening cooperation, common development," the current conference made a retrospective analysis of the implementation of the previous "Action Plan for Economic and Trade Cooperation," which was approved by the 1st ministerial conference of the Forum in October 2003.

Member countries of the Forum are China and seven Portuguese-speaking countries, namely, Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and Timor-Leste.
