Senior Chinese legislator meets South African guests

Ismail Amat, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), met Tuesday with a delegation from the National Assembly of South Africa.

The delegation, headed by its speaker Baleka Mbete, is here on a visit to China from Sept. 22 to 30 at the invitation of Wu Bangguo, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee.

Besides the capital city of Beijing, the delegation will also visit northwest China's Shaanxi Province and southwest China's Sichuan Province.
