Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks in a meeting with Ho Man Ngoat, vice chairman of the Office of the CPV Central Committee.
Wang said the leaders of the two parties had set the political and strategic keynote for bilateral relations and reached an important consensus on pushing forward the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
China hoped to join with Vietnam to boost their friendship, Wang said.
He also briefed Ho on China's drive to build a harmonious society.
