ZTE Corporation, China's largest listed telecommunications product manufacturer and leading wireless solution provider, Wednesday kicked off a two-day 3G road show in Dhaka to bring its cutting-edge 3G technology to Bangladesh.

"This is the first time we launch a 3G road show in Bangladesh, " Michael Wang, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ZTE Corporation Bangladesh Office, told Xinhua.

We bring our 3G products and engineers here to let Bangladeshi people, especially those from telecommunication operators, government and media, experience 3G products and service, he said.

In this road show, a big container containing all the setup equipment for the corporation's industry-leading WCDMA V3 system, next generation networks and a wide range of 3G services is exhibited.

As part of the road show, there's also presentations to share experience of establishing and operating 3G network, including the experience of saving cost of establishing and operating 3G network, Michael said.

The presentations also introduced various 3G services, including video call, video mail, video conference, live TV, location services, web browse, etc.

ZTE Corporation started business in Bangladesh telecommunication market since 1998. "Now we have gradually realized the localization of our personnel and service. We hope to localize our production also. We are planning to build a joint venture enterprise here in the future," Michael said.

ZTE specializes in offering customized network solutions for telecom carriers worldwide. It has more than 120 offices around the world and its products have been widely deployed in over 70 countries and regions.
