Nepali university to launch Master's Degree in conflict managementTribhuwan University (TU), the first and biggest university of Nepal, is set to introduce Master's Degree on conflict management for the next educational year. Humanities and Social Science Faculty of Tribhuwan University has prepared curriculums for the first and second year for teaching and learning purpose of the subject, the National News Agency RSS reported Thursday. The teaching and learning of the subject to be initiated with the financial and educational assistance of two universities in Norway and Sri Lanka has been entitled as "Peace, Conflict and Development," TU Prof. Dr. Ramesh Raj Kunwar was quoted by the RSS as saying. Some 40 students from Nepal and Sri Lanka will carry out their study in the first session of this year, the report said. The curriculum included various subject matters of economics, population, political science and education. The teaching and learning of the subject will help enhance Nepal's education sector and produce experts in conflict management, Prof. Dr. Kiran Manandhar, former dean of the faculty said.
