Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Thursday met with the visiting Vietnamese Minister of Public Security Le Hong Anh.

Wen spoke positively about the China-Vietnam relations, expressing his appreciation for the cooperation between the country's two public security organs in the campaign against international crime.

Wen also expressed his hope that the two sides would continue to improve cooperation in law enforcement.

Anh said that the Communist Party of Vietnam highly values cooperation with China in law enforcement and pledged to make concerted efforts with China to step up the fight against illegal immigration, gambling and drug trafficking to safeguard social security.
