China's forex reserves rise to 987.9 bln USD by end of Sept

China's foreign exchange reserves climbed to 987.9 billion U.S. dollars by the end of September, up 28.46 percent from a year earlier, the People's Bank of China reported Friday.

The central bank report said the reserves added 169 billion dollars in the first nine months of the year.
