Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe arrived here Thursday evening for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation slated for Nov. 4-5.

China and Togo established diplomatic ties in September 1972. Bilateral trade totaled 570 million U.S. dollars in 2005.

Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong visited Togo in 2004 and Faure Gnassingbe paid his first visit to China as Togolese president in February this year.
