Myanmar Prime Minister Soe Win on Thursday visited Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei province, after attending the commemorative summit marking the 15th anniversary of China-ASEAN dialogue relationship.
In a meeting with the prime minister, Governor of Hubei Luo Qingquan said Hubei and Myanmar can further boost ties in such fields as power network construction and hydroelectric energy exploration.
Soe Win called for closer economic and trade cooperation between Myanmar and Hubei and more investment from Chinese enterprises.
The prospect of bilateral cooperation is bright, the prime minister noted.
Accompanied by Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Guan Mu, Soe Win visited two local auto makers and the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Soe Win will also visit Wuhan Iron and Steel Complex, Central China Power Grid Co. Ltd., before going back to Myanmar on Friday.
