Mauritanian head of state arrives in Beijing for China-Africa summit

Mauritanian head of state Ely Ould Mohammed Vall arrived in Beijing Friday for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

Forty eight African countries that have diplomatic relations with China are to participate in the two-day summit slated for Nov. 4-5.

China and Mauritania established diplomatic relations on July 19, 1965. Bilateral trade topped 78 million U.S. dollars in 2005.
