Some African leaders, who are in Beijing to attend the upcoming Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation scheduled for Nov. 4-5, traveled in China on Friday ahead of the summit.

Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf Friday visited Tianjin, a port city in north China, and the mobile phone production base of Motorola in the city.

Tianjin Mayor Dai Xianglong briefed the president, who arrived in Beijing on Saturday, about the social and economic development of the city.

"Tianjin is willing to maintain friendly cooperation relationship with Liberian cities, and strengthen cooperation with its enterprises," Dai said.

The president said Liberia has plentiful mineral, forest and agricultural resources, expressing the hope to strengthen economic and trade cooperation with Tianjin.

Angolan Prime Minister Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos visited the Great Wall in the northern suburbs of Beijing on Friday, saying that the visit realized one of his dreams.

The Prime Minister expressed his hope to maintain peace in Angola, and strengthen cooperation with China in the economic, cultural and social sectors.

Botswanian President Festus Mogae Friday visited the Three Gorges Hydropower Plant being built in Yichang, central China's Hubei Province.

Mogae said he was shocked by the grand Three Gorges Project, the world's largest water control project, and deeply impressed by the hospitality of local people and the beautiful local scenery.
