Nepali ready made garments exported to US decline

The Nepali readymade garments exported to American market has went down by 45 percent in October this year in comparison with last year, the National News Agency RSS reported Saturday.

The garments exported to American market in October was recorded 1.4 million U.S. dollars, which were 2.5 million dollars in October last year, Nepal Readymade Garments Industry Association said.

According to the association, the readymade garments worth of 42.41 million dollars were exported to America during the first 10 months in 2006.

America is so far the largest market for Nepali readymade garments.
