Hong Kong share prices close lower dragged by heavyweights

Hong Kong share prices close the week's trading lower Friday after a fresh high Thursday with the benchmark Hang Seng Index down 61.72 points, or 0.33 percent, to 18,891.14 dragged by heavyweights.

The Index opened flat at 18,958.06 and reached the highest at 18,976.15 during the trading, but easing down at closing with a turnover of 54.53 billion HK dollars (7.01 billion U.S. dollars).

Market heavyweights China Mobile went down 0.83 percent to 65. 55 HK dollars, while HSBC went down 0.40 percent to 150.60 HK dollars.

Oil stocks performed well with PetroChina rising 0.44 percent to 9.03 HK dollars, while CNOOC up 3.01 percent to 6.85 HK dollars.
