Five judges arrested for taking bribes in southern Chinese cityFive judges in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen have been arrested on bribery charges, a local procurator said on Friday. The judges were a vice president of the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court Pei Hongquan, two court presidents Cai Xiaoling and Zhang Tinghua, a retired judge Liao Zhaohui and a court official Li Huili, said Bai Xinchao, procurator of the Shenzhen People's Procuratorate. Bai said that the five suspects had taken advantage of their posts to amass a huge amount of money through bribery over the past two or three years.
