China's trade volume with US, EU exceed 200 bln USD in first 10 months

China's trade with the United States and European Union (EU) both surpassed 200 billion U.S. dollars in the first 10 months of this year, according to the latest statistics from the General Administration of Customs.

EU remained China's largest trading partner in the first 10 months with a trade volume of 218.9 billion U.S. dollars, up 24.2 percent year on year.

The U.S came next with a trade volume of 214.52 billion U.S. dollars, up 24.6 percent year-on-year. Japan is the third largest, registering trade of 168.46 billion U.S. dollars, up 12.5 percent year on year.

Trade between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong hit 131.8 billion U.S. dollars, with a year on year increase of 23.1 percent.

Trade between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations jumped 23.5 percent to 129.91 billion U.S. dollars.

About 58.5 percent of China's total trade volume transited via the provinces of Guangdong and Jiangsu and the Shanghai Municipality.
