Gu Xiulian, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, the country's top legislature, met with a delegation from the Assembly of Slovenia in Beijing Tuesday.

The delegation was led by Jozef Jerovsek, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Slovenian Assembly.

The two sides conferred on further strengthening parliamentary exchanges between the two countries.

The delegation started its five-day China trip on Sunday. Besides Beijing, the guests will also visit Shanghai, China's economic hub.
