The six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue are likely to resume in early December, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill said Wednesday.

"I think we will try to use the next few weeks to be very busy and maybe begin the talks sometime in early December, probably," said Hill on the sidelines of an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum meeting in Vietnam.

The six-party talks on the Korean nuclear issue have remained stalled since the last round was held in Beijing last November.

The last round of talks, involving China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the United States, the Republic of Korea, Russia and Japan, ended up with a Chairman's Statement, in which the parties concerned agreed to resume the talks as soon as possible.
