Macao to deepen administrative, judicial reform: CE
font size

Edmund Ho Hau Wah, chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), said Thursday that his government is to deepen the administrative and judicial reform.

The official said in his 90-minute policy address that the MSAR government is to work out a reform "roadmap," or "timeframe" in the first half of 2007.

Ho said the government is to simplify the administrative process, to cut a number of government departments and to abolish certain regulations which are "behind the time."

He said the government is also to set up a Government Information Center, in a bid to boost the cross-department cooperation to better serve the public.
