Macao to boost multi-dimensional economic development: CE
font size

Edmund Ho Hau Wah, chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), said Thursday that Macao is to fasten the pace in development of "the multi-dimensional economy."

The official in his 90-minute policy address shrugged off the concern over the heating up of the gaming business.

He stressed that the government is to work out effective regulations to harness "the dragon-head business" to boom in a healthy way.

The government plans to set up a council, which are to group representatives from all social walks, to observe the development of the gaming industry, said Ho.

He stated that his government will spare no effort to boost tourism and other businesses.
