China, Kazakhstan reach consensus on future bilateral cooperation
font size

China and Kazakhstan reached a consensus on future bilateral cooperation in fields covering trade, technology, finance, and energy Friday in Beijing.

The consensus was achieved at the third meeting of the China-Kazakhstan Cooperation Committee (CKCC) co-chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi and visiting Kayak Deputy Prime Minister Karim Masimov.

Wu said that China and Kazakhstan have made remarkable progress on good-neighborly relations since the committee was established.

The committee's work had helped raise bilateral cooperation to a new high, she said.

Echoing Wu's views, Masimov said that Kazakhstan will continue to adhere to the one-China policy and work to develop cooperation in various fields with China.

Kazakhstan will boost efforts to combat the three evil forces of splittism, terrorism and extremism, Masimov stressed.

He spoke positively of the achievements of the CKCC, expressing satisfaction with the progress made and the support from China for Kazakhstan's entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The two sides signed a summary of the meeting of the China-Kazakhstan Cooperation Committee and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on industrial safety.
