Macao to "reasonably" tackle human resource shortage: CE

Edmund Ho Hau Wah, chief executive ( CE) of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), said Thursday that the government is to solve the human resource problem in a reasonable way.

The CE said in his 90-minute policy address that the MSAR government gives priority to the protection of the benefit of local employees.

Ho said the government is to work out new laws to regulate the imports of overseas laborers and to tightened the fight against illegal employment.

The government will also set up special funds to help local residents upgrade the education levels.
