The per-capita spending of visitors in Macao stood at 1,430 patacas (178.75 U.S. dollars) in the third quarter, a year-on-year rise of one percent, according to official statistics issued Friday.
The figures released by the government-run Statistics and Census Service (SCS) showed that visitors from the Chinese mainland took the lead on the expenditure list with 2,898 patacas (362.25 U.S. dollars).
The per-capita shopping spending rose by 7 percent year-on-year to 616 patacas (77 U.S. dollars) in the quarter, the figures showed.
Meanwhile, the per-capita non-shopping spending increased by 3 percent to 814 patacas (101.75 U.S. dollars) in the period, according to the statistics.
