Brazil's leading aircraft manufacturer Embraer announced Friday it expected to deliver 160-165 airplanes in 2007 and the number will reach up to 205 in 2008.

In a long-term market outlook report published Friday, the Sao Paulo-based company predicted a global demand over the next 20 years for 7,500 jets in seat capacity segments for up to 120 passengers: 1,400 planes in the 30-60 seat segment, 2,600 in the 61-90 seat segment and 3,500 in the 91-120 seat segment.

The company predicted that 3,050 aircraft will be delivered between 2007 and 2016, with the deliveries of the remaining 4,450 to be done between 2017 and 2036. The total market value will reach up to 220 billion U.S. dollars.

According to the report, the 30-60 seat segment had reached its peak, but would continue to play an important role in North American and European transportation systems while seeking new markets like China, Mexico and Russia.

Embraer also expected the deliveries of 11,115 business jets in the 2007-2016 period, amounting to approximately 169 billion dollars.
