Shanxi will build five large aluminum industrial bases

Shanxi province authorities outlined their program for the development and utilization of aluminum mineral resources between 2006 and 2020. Over the next 10 years, in the northern, southern, eastern, western and central parts of Shanxi, five large industrial bases will be built to produce aluminum from 13 mineral resource sites. It is hoped that 100 million more tons of material can can be recovered over the next 15 years. The southern aluminum industrial base will be the biggest in the entire country.
