Senior Tibetan living Buddha meets his young peerFifty-eight-year-old Tibetan Buddhism living Buddha Jamyang Luosangjiumei Tudanquejijima held a meeting with his four-year-old peer Gungtangcang Losanggeleg Dainpekanqian living Buddha on Tuesday. During the meeting at the Labrang Monastery in Northwest China's Gansu Province, Gungtangcang living Budda paid a homage to Jamyang and presented him a hada, a long piece of silk to show people's respects according to the Tibetan custom. Jamyang also expressed his good wishes toward the young living Buddha and presented his gifts to the newly-throned. Jamyang living Buddha hoped the seventh Gungtangcang living Buddha will heathily grow up and contribute to regional economic development, social harmony and ethnic unity. The four-year-old living Buddha, initially named Goinbo Dungzhi, has been enthroned as the seventh Kungtangcang living Buddha and the reincarnation of the sixth who died in 2000. A grand enthronement, presided by Jamyang living Buddha, was held at the Labrang Lamasery on Nov. 12 in line with the rituals of Tibetan Buddhism.
