China's special envoy to attend Mexico's presidency handover ceremony

China's Minister of Communications Li Shenglin will attend the presidency handover ceremony of Mexico on Dec. 1 as special envoy of the Chinese government.

China's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Jiang Yu made the announcement Thursday at a regular press conference.

Felipe Calderon, of the ruling National Action Party, won the July 2 presidential election and will take office on Dec. 1.
