Chu Bo was reelected as the Secretary of the Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) of the North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Wednesday.

Chu, 62, was announced to be the CPC chief of Inner Mongolia at the first plenary session of the autonomous region's eighth CPC committee.

Born in east China's Anhui Province, Chu was elected governor of central China's Hunan Province in 1999.

In 2001, he was elected CPC secretary general of Inner Mongolia for the first time.
