PLA forces in HK conduct 9th routine rotation
The Airforce of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) garrison troops in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) attend its ninth troop rotation ceremony in Hong Kong, south China, Nov. 25, 2006. The PLA garrison troops in the HKSAR conducted its ninth troop rotation since it assumed Hong Kong's defense responsibility on July 1, 1997. The size of the forces remained unchanged in both personnel and weaponry after the rotation.

Life expectancy hits record high in UK

Men aged 65 could expect to live a further 16.6 years and women a further 19.4 years if mortality rates remained the same as they were in 2003 -2005, according to a national statistics issued on Nov. 21, 2006.
