Colombian Vice President Francisco Santos Galderon left Shanghai Sunday afternoon, concluding an eight-day official visit to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Zeng Qinghong.

During his stay in Beijing, Santos held talks with Zeng and met with Premier Wen Jiabao. He also visited Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, and Shanghai, eastern China's economic powerhouse.

This is Santos' first China visit since he assumed the office of vice president.
