Construction of China's third largest hydroelectric power station begins

Following completion of the Sanxia Project and the Xi Luodu Hydroelectric Power Station, construction of the Xiangjia Dam Hydroelectric Power Station, which will be the third largest hydroelectric power station in China, began on November 26.

The Xiangjia Dam Hydroelectric Power Station is the first super-hydroelectric power station to be built during the 11th Five Year Plan period, and will be built on the lower reaches of the Jinsha River.
