Taliban militias have killed four civilians on charges of having cooperation with the U.S. military in east Afghanistan, a newspaper reported Monday.
Taliban said Sunday they had killed four Afghans for spying to the U.S. forces in Kunar province, Daily Outlook reported.
Governor of Kunar province Shalizai Didar said Taliban rebels kidnapped the four from Korengal area on Saturday while they were on the way home from work.
These people, he added, worked for the U.S. military base in Manogai district.
It is the second time over the past two months that militants targeted and killed common workers working for the U.S. military base in the restive Kunar province.
