The government, the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) (formerly known as guerrilla) and the United Nations are going to sign an agreement on management of arms and armies of the CPN and the Nepali Army on Tuesday.

Both Home Minister and the CPN spokesperson said Monday evening that the agreement will be signed Tuesday. Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula is the coordinator of the government talks team while the CPN spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara is the coordinator of the CPN's talks team.

Addressing the media after the meeting, Sitaula said that agreement has been reached on all aspects but since the final draft needed some more work to give it an orderly shape, the representatives settled for Tuesday again to ink the agreement.

The three parties have agreed to sign the accord Tuesday morning after many rounds of negotiations. They had failed to sign the agreement on Sunday and Monday after the government and the CPN locked horns over the number of armies and arms to be provided to the CPN for the security of the cantonment sides where the CPN's weapons would be locked.
